Do Good Swimwear
Do Good Swimwear is a small, women-owned and run sustainable swim biz!
Do Good Swimwear makes suits in small batches and works with minority female artists to create unique designs and prints. They give back a portion of profits to ocean conservation orgs, tree planting, and women in need!
The idea for this sustainable swim brand was sparked during a surf trip where they had found themselves literally picking pieces of plastic/ trash off of themselves while surfing, and decided they needed to do something about it! They wanted to find a way to use ocean waste in a way that it could be repurposed and regenerated into something beautiful while also doing something great for the Earth and the beautiful humans and animals in it, and thus, Do Good Swimwear was born!
Each swimsuit is made out of recycled materials using ocean waste (such as, fish nets, plastic bottles, and old nylons) which is then recycled and turned into a beautiful, soft, and comfortable material- perfect for swimsuits!
Everything is made in small batches to discourage waste and Do Good Swimwear even uses fabric scraps to make other things (hair ties, earrings, etc.) that they donate to women in need.
