Marcelina is a carpenter who happens to make wooden hollow surfboards.
Marcelina aka Marce Pina, fell in love with the ocean at a very young age despite growing up in a landlocked town in West Germany. At the age of 19 she packed her bags, moved to Costa Rica and started surfing in Playa Guiones. Many years later Marce went back to school in Germany to become a professional carpenter and pursue her dream of making hollow wooden surfboards in Nosara.
Since 2019 she is sharing her passion for woodworking and surfboards in workshops with like-minded fellow surfers.
Marcelina offers workshops where you can build your own hollow Wooden surfboard or hand-plane. Her shop is located in the jungle of Nosara, Costa Rica. The course is open to anyone - even without any prior woodworking experience.
